The pages in this section are filled with useful links to a wide variety of information which could be helpful to newcomers to the area. If you have other information that you think would be useful, please let us know.
One website which is invaluable to both newcomers and long-term residents is Gulesider or Yellow Pages. The link http://www.gulesider.no/ is excellent. Not only do you have yellow (business) and white pages (persons/individual), but each listing contains links to a map with the location of the contact. Some listings for business provide links to the company's website. You can also look up phone numbers to find out who has contacted you by typing the telephone number in the search blank on opening page. The site can be navigated in English, see the English flag down on the bottom right. However, on the Norwegian pages only, you can register on "MIn Side" which means "My Page". From here you can send SMS messages to any mobile phone in Norway free.
